IMC’s team was proud to participate in Liberty Property Trust’s annual Great Valley Corporate Center 5k.
Once again, the IMC Charity Golf Outing had great weather and wonderful support from our vendors and business partners. All proceeds from the event go to the IMC Charitable Foundation whose mission is to support non-profits within our community. We’d like to thank all the generous supporters of the event:

IMC Construction is pleased to announce completion of the new ifm efector North American Headquarters. Based in Essen, Germany, Ifm efector produces sensor and control products. Proximity to engineering schools made the company open a North American location in the Philadelphia area 30 years ago. Rapid growth ever since has resulted in a new corporate headquarters in the Atwater Corporate Center in Malvern, Pa.
The new 45,000-SF building is a two-story, state-of-the-art facility with extensive glass and daylight. Ten-foot ceilings, large windows, an open floor plan, and a crisp white interior give the headquarters a spacious, modern feel. With space for more than 175 employees, the new corporate office has a fitness center, large cafeteria, training center, multiple conference rooms, and an executive board room.
During the hot summers, IMC employees team up to wow their fellow coworkers with their culinary creations. Each Friday, a different team of four is tasked with cooking lunch for the office. Over the years, themes have developed, and the summer of 2015 is one for the record books. This season, employees have enjoyed a southern BBQ, fiesta complete with a piñata, and Christmas in July. Previous teams have thrown down the gauntlet; may the next team rise to the occasion!
The steel is up and we are halfway finished with construction of the 155,000-SF expansion of the King of Prussia Mall. Local media were invited to tour the structure and get a peek at the connection between the Court and Plaza that will create 50-60 new retailers, a dining pavilion, and approximately 300 new jobs for the Philadelphia area.
The community of East Whiteland, Pa., celebrated the ribbon-cutting of their new Volunteer Fire Association Chester County Station 5 on June 24. The new facility houses both fire and ambulance services, a full kitchen, administrative offices, dispatch control room, sleeping quarters, a fitness center, and several meeting and community rooms.
The mission of IMC’s 2015 Safety Day is to eliminate worker injury by raising awareness about the importance of safety in the workplace; sharing safety ideas and best practices that can save lives and prevent injuries; and inspiring the entire construction workforce to make the commitment to promoting a strong safety culture on every job site, every day. Workers enjoyed a BBQ lunch, fall protection demonstration, and other safety training, including equipment inspection and safe telehandler operation.

The IMC-sponsored Westtown School Metal Moose Robotics Team 1391 is in St. Louis for the FIRST Robotics World Championship. Team 1391 has had a fruitful season, placing fifth out of 35 teams in the quarter-finals. The World Championship held this week is by invitation, based on merit over the years. Westtown’s Metal Moose is one of about 600 teams invited to play – out of a field of 6,000 teams – which represents the top 10 percent of teams in the world.
We are pleased to announce several additions to our staff:
