BETHLEHEM MONASTERY
OF POOR CLARES

The Poor Clares Monastery is situated on 42 forested acres in New Kent County, Virginia. This 40,000 square foot site features a 10,000 square foot Heavy Timber Chapel — exposed structural post and beam construction — including a forty-five foot high cupola and a split face block and cultured stone exterior. The cloister has radiant heating throughout. There are also two open air interior courtyards with timber framed porches, a thirty-four foot high bell tower and a chapel.
