Located on a tight site within the boundaries of three busy streets in University City, the Center for Healthcare Technology is a southern gateway to the Penn Medicine campus and an attractive, efficient workplace environment for staff. The design-build project houses offices for human resources, marketing and information technology, a large childcare facility, the Investigative Drug Services pharmacy, and an expansion of Penn Medicine’s Bio Bank Freezer Farm. A landscaped entry plaza with seating, bike racks and a café connects the building to the active streetscape, while the daycare has a separate secure entrance. Phase 1 is ten floors and 250,000 SF, with precast panels framing floor-to-ceiling glass. Phase 2 will add an additional 290,000 SF.
