Project News: Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Tops Out
IMC Construction and Good Shepherd Rehabilitation held a topping out ceremony on June 20th at the site of the new four-story, 76-private-bed hospital in Upper Saucon, PA.
This state-of-the-art, 124,000 SF hospital will revolutionize treatment and recovery options for people with complex medical conditions, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and other serious injuries or illnesses. The campus features outdoor therapy, activity gardens, and The Experience Center. In partnership with Moravian University, The Experience Center will provide people with disabilities and other mobility challenges with state-of-the-art technology. Additional features include a diagnostic center, pharmacy, lab, kitchen/dining, central storage, loading dock, and various offices and support spaces.
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation also held a beam signing event to celebrate the project milestone. Various members of Good Shepherd, the IMC project team, elected officials, and community partners participated in signing the 23’ beam.
The Good Shepherd Rehabilitation project team includes construction manager IMC Construction; owner Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network; owner’s representative Pure Project Management, LLC; developer KPS Development Partners, LLC; architect FCA; structural engineer DCI+MacIntosh Engineers; civil engineer Pennoni; and MEP engineer Highland Associates.
