University of Delaware, Morris Library
This project involves the renovation and expansion of the Morris Library
at the University of Delaware. Originally built in 1963 and renovated in
1986, the library serves as an essential hub for students, faculty, and the
community.
The renovation will focus on improving the Special Collections area
by consolidating rare books, manuscripts, and historical materials into
a more accessible and welcoming space. The project will feature an
environmentally controlled exhibition and storage areas, a reading room, a
classroom, and staff offices.
Additional phases of the renovation will update the 1941 Lecture Room
and Room 116 with new finishes, furniture, and lighting. This project will
significantly enhance the library’s ability to meet the growing needs of the
university and the broader community.
