The University of Delaware’s Department of Mechanical Engineering Design Studio underwent exciting renovations to enhance both its space and equipment. The renovations expanded the studio, which now features the metalworking machine shop, rapid prototyping facilities, carpentry and assembly areas, and student competition spaces and collaborative seminar spaces. With over 700 students utilizing the Design Studio each year, it provides a place where they gained hands-on experience in designing, testing, and developing prototypes.
